For the purposes of reccing vids from BAM Vid Vault. It kinda sucks that non-members can only view the videos if they're embedded.

Hey, writing from a brand-new laptop here. My old one decided to call it quits on Wednesday -- it was pretty old, time to die, whatevs. So I ordered a new one yesterday from the campus computer store and it came in today, tg, I never would have survived the weekend without internet. I'm sticking with Windows, can't afford a Mac. Besides, this thing's got all these features -- I mean, really, fingerprint recognition? We live in the future, guys!

I took that Political Spectrum quiz that was posted on ontd_p. Apparently I'm a center-left moderate social libertarian. Who knew? Judging by the comparison of my results to everyone's results, my general leanings are pretty average. As compared to the rest of the quiz-taking internet, I guess.

I also subscribed to Zip.ca (that's like Netflix for Canadians) this past week. I'm just using it for TV on DVD, I'm not really a movie person. Movies either don't demand enough investment or not enough from me. I joined it initially to get my hands on The Fall, having been beaten over the head with the adorability of Lee Pace by Pushing Daisies. I got discs from "Studio 60" and "Dexter" season 2 this week. Well, actually I just got "Studio 60" so far, but "Dexter" should be here soon. Matthew Perry looks really tired.

Oh hai, I jumped up a spot on the list of top PB bloggers:
http://www.boxxet.com/Prison_Break/Section:top_blogs_news/
I'm a little more proud of that then I should be. Though I do object to the inclusion of "An Inane Tale From 4 AM"... that entry was pretty personal, and was not PB news in any way, shape or form.
That's all I had to say, heh. OH NO WAIT. I've discovered streaming after deeply mistrusting it for so very, very long. So now I'm taking a long hard (lol, dirty) look at my repertoire of television shows.
I currently watch three still-running shows:
1. Prison Break
2. House
3. Bones
... I know, I'm not very prolific. But yesterday, I watched the pilots to:
- Supernatural
- How I Met Your Mother
- Dexter
... and they were all pretty awesome. Actually, I watched the pilot of "30 Rock" too, but I did not enjoy it. I was surprised, everyone is all "OMG 30 Rock is the best!!1!" but I just didn't find it funny. I've started watching Dexter before but that was back when I had no DVR nor any inclination to download TV, so I fell behind and eventually gave up. But I love that show, so I am all over it now.
Are there any other shows that, IYO, I should start watching ASAP?

... But, incidentally, I don't have friends about to discourage from blogging lazy, so here I go.
Firstly, I would like to update on my various recent health problems. I was out of school for almost two weeks with something the doctors haven't been able to identify, even after a hospital visit and a long line of embarrassing tests, but which I suspect was a mild case of infectious mononucleosis (mono/glandular fever/"the kissing disease", and no I haven't been making out with any sick people), and, interestingly, with a side of panic attacks which my doctor is convinced is chemically-induced because I really do have a frikkin' easy life *yes, says "frikkin'", thnxverymuch*.
My doctor prescribed me either Paxil (me: wtf, this is an anti-depressant) or  Xanax, which I am strangely excited about. Xanax is a brand name alprazolam, a benzodiazepene, and just because I have a one-track mind, it occurs to me that my favourite ex-FBI agent is/was addicted to midazolam, a benzodiazepene derivative. I am so pathetic and sad, but I cannot help it. I love that fictional man.

FOX owns my soul. I mean, 'Friends' is based in NBC and 'Dexter' originated of Showtime, but FOX airs 'House', 'Bones', 'Prison Break', and two of my new favourite shows, 'Canterbury's Law' and 'New Amsterdam'. Some thoughts on my three most recent television acquisition-type-thingies:

Three new shows... )

And just because I'm REALLY lazy, I've been going through S2 of Prison Break in a fit of MIP (mono-induced procrastination), and so I present to you my top ten favourite S2 Mahone lines:

Laziness to the nth degree... )
Hey, I did warn you. I am srsly lazy today.
