Rec Me TV Shows, Plz

Oh hai, I jumped up a spot on the list of top PB bloggers:

I'm a little more proud of that then I should be. Though I do object to the inclusion of "An Inane Tale From 4 AM"... that entry was pretty personal, and was not PB news in any way, shape or form.
That's all I had to say, heh. OH NO WAIT. I've discovered streaming after deeply mistrusting it for so very, very long. So now I'm taking a long hard (lol, dirty) look at my repertoire of television shows.
I currently watch three still-running shows:
1. Prison Break
2. House
3. Bones
... I know, I'm not very prolific. But yesterday, I watched the pilots to:
- Supernatural
- How I Met Your Mother
- Dexter
... and they were all pretty awesome. Actually, I watched the pilot of "30 Rock" too, but I did not enjoy it. I was surprised, everyone is all "OMG 30 Rock is the best!!1!" but I just didn't find it funny. I've started watching Dexter before but that was back when I had no DVR nor any inclination to download TV, so I fell behind and eventually gave up. But I love that show, so I am all over it now.
Are there any other shows that, IYO, I should start watching ASAP?

I love Dexter & Supernatural! (Haven't seen How I Met Your Mother.) 30Rock is one of those shows that, IMO, took a few episodes to hit its stride & find the right tone. I remember thinking it wasn't very funny at the beginning also. Now I love it. The characters grow on you. The US remake of The Office I feel was the same way. The first couple of episodes were sort of duds. I've been enjoying The Sarah Connor Chronicles a lot. Kickass females & a hot angsty guy. Can't go wrong there. Another favorite of mine is Battlestar Galactica. It can be rather dark & complicated though, so don't know if that's your thing.

I dunno whether I'm up to giving 30 Rock a second chance at the moment. If I'm ever lacking something new to watch, maybe I'll get back into it.
I suppose I could give SCC a shot. Do you have to know anything about the Terminator movies? 'Cause I haven't seen any of them.
People do say that BSG is very good. Idk. It hasn't really sparked my interest.

Hey, its moss. Did I ever tell you that I recently saw my first two episodes of HIMYM? I loved it. Also, I totally forgot that Willow from Buffy was on it, so that was a nice surprise and made me love it even more (although, no, I don't think she has anything on NPH). I am glad to hear you've discovered Supernatural. I was really into it during the first season, but haven't really kept up with it since. That may have had something to do with it being on the same night as Grey's. Such a shame because Jensen and Jared are two of the hottest young guys on tv right now. And to have them both on your screen at the same time...it's really nice.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I have any recommendations to offer you. I don't think you and I share the same idea about what makes a show worth watching. I can still give you my thoughts/opinions though. I think you may like SCC. I saw an ep of that and found it was interesting, even though I've never personally seen any of the Terminator movies. I didn't really pick it up fully though. Oh, what about Heroes? Have you ever considered watching that? I hear tons of people love it. Hmm picking shows for you is difficult 'cause I don't really know if you have a certain type of show. I know you really aren't into the teen dramas but if you ever change your mind, try Veronica Mars, 'cause it kicks all kinds of ass, or Friday Night Lights, 'cause its not all about sex and partying and the normal teen soap stuff. It's better. Ok well, that's all for now, so ttyl.

Hey, Moss. A warning: if I sound excessively British, it's because I have been alternating Dexter with YouTube clips of 'A Bit Of Fry & Laurie' all night. B/c I clearly know how to party. :P
HIMYM is great, I'm enjoying it immensely. The whole cast is great, though so far the girl that plays Robin has yet to impress me with her comedic timing.
I'm also really excited about Supernatural. Though not easily scared (as the batshit bug in your basement can attest :P), I am very easily startled, so I sometimes take out one ear phone during the suspenseful parts, lol.
Oh, have you seen The Eye of the Tiger video yet? I know you prefer Jared to Jensen... BUT CAN HE ASS-GUITAR?

I like your distinction of them being two of the hottest *young* guys on TV right now. I know it's not a distinction you need, but it's pretty important for me.
I've built up an extensive list of TV shows and movies that I want to watch... maybe I'll tell you about them next time you're on MSN and you have the patience (but then, when don't you?). Thanks for the tips, but I don't know when I'll get around to them. *hugs for moss*
