I'm laughing at myself at how I slink back to LJ periodically for the sole purpose of pimping new vids. I am transparent, what can I say?

Ooh! I forgot that LJ is my self-imposed designated space for being self-indulgent about vid thoughts. SO HERE ARE SOME VID THOUGHTS.
This vid took me ages and was at times frustrating but I'm pretty pleased with the end result. It's very fulfilling to see my vidding grow and develop with each successive fanvid. I think Dear Fellow Traveller is pretty close to this in quality, although obviously this one is a bit prettier since the show is newer.
I don't have quite as many emotions to vomit up as I did for the dS vid. My hope for this vid from the outset was to present a case for watching the show, a "show-pitching" vid as I like to call it. In the end, I was unable to stay away from some of the more spoilery sequences in latter episodes, so I'm not sure if it still works as a show-pitching vid. I've convinced at least one person already with it, though!
This song was a gift to work with, all those interesting and impactful sounds that were perfect for matching some of the more interesting visuals from the show, e.g. the weird crunching noises and all the wub-wubs.
I mostly tried to present the show as it is, to be as honest as I could about it and to showcase all the great characters in their highlighted moments. I love everyone in this bar, basically. You might be able to tell that I have a serious soft spot for Father Frank. He only had one episode, but in my opinion he was very briefly a love of Lucifer's life.
I dunno about you but I am very excited about season two, coming up in just over a month. All of the casting announcements have been really cool, super psyched about Aimee Garcia in particular. And here's hoping S2 gets a back nine! Season one was too short.
